Compatibility of UNO-FLUSH®
Virusolve+ EDS®, the active ingredient within UNO-FLUSH®, has been extensively tested for compatibility with the metals and
plastics that are used in the manufacture of flexible and rigid endoscopes. The results of this independent testing show that
when used as directed, Virusolve+ EDS® will not damage or corrode metals and plastics.
UNO-FLUSH® has been specifically formulated to effectively cleanse the insertion tube and suction channels prior to full
processing of endoscopes. The compatibility testing shows that prolonged exposure of endoscopic equipment to Virusolve+
EDS® will not result in loss of performance or damage. Indeed, after 200,000 usages in the UK since the launch of UNO-FLUSH®
there have been no reported problems.
Virusolve+ EDS® is dedicated and approved for endoscopy
use. It has also undergone trials at the Hospital Infection
Research Laboratory in Birmingham. There should be no
reaction of Virusolve residues with enzymatic detergents or
alkaline detergents and there should be no reaction with
disinfectants such as Sterilox®, Peracetic Acid, Tristel® or Peracetic Acid-based Apalan from Lancer.
